Memo The philosophy of the school has evolved over the past forty years and is a continuing process; many of those who contributed have now retired, and others have moved on promotion to new schools. It is not the autocratic decision of any one person but has evolved democratically and has the full approval of the school Board of Governors. Some may not agree with all contained herein but those in positions of responsibility are expected to give it their support, and if disputes arise, these should be dealt with internally.
Our aim should be to provide the most beneficial educational and social experiences for each pupil. To do this, a community school has evolved which, I hope, is welcoming and friendly as well as demanding and rewarding; which develops as many talents as possible in each individual and encourages the growth of self-discipline.
